SEAC's Recommendations to the Board of Trustees:
1. Auditor Report – Chapter 3, Section 3.12 – School Boards’ Management of Financial and Human Resources that SEAC request that the Board provide SEAC with a progress report on the four recommendations listed on page 109 of the agenda, that have not yet been acted on namely:
- An attendance support program for school board employees;
- A performance management plan for non-academic staff;
- A centralized database for employee behavior complaints; and
- Case management software for centralized tracking of special-education service referrals and backlogs;
2. Verbal Update from the Superintendent of Special Services regarding Student Trustees’ Eligibility to sit on SEAC that student voice be represented in person at SEAC meetings and that the legal opinion received from the General Legal Council (refer Attachment) regarding Student Trustees’ Eligibility to sit on SEAC be disregarded;
